Dutch Junior Open
Golfclub Toxandria has hosted The Dutch Junior Open since 1984. Many American PGA, European and Asian tour professionals have competed here since then. Champion of the 2016 Masters of Augusta Danny Willet already participated in The Dutch Junior Open in 2006. Over the years, participating in The Dutch Junior Open internationally became an important step to becoming a golf professional. Recently, Thomas Pieters won the KLM Open in 2015. He participated in the Dutch Junior Open in 2011. Christel Boeljon, a member of the Solheim Cup in 2011 and winner of the Deloitte Ladies Open in 2015, won the Dutch Junior Open in 2006.

Nurturing young talent
The history of the Dutch Junior Open contains fantastic young players like Nicolas Colsaerts, Martin Kaymer, Justin Rose, Joost Luiten, Thomas Bjorn, Maarten Lafeber, Daan Schrei, Zane Scotland, and last but not least Dutch Junior Open Ambassador Rolf Muntz. Through the years the playing field has become stronger and stronger. The majority of the players currently play better than scratch. For many years the Dutch Junior Open has welcomed many promising young golfers from all over the world at Golfclub Toxandria.
